This is an illustrative placeholder. Real client work replaces it soon.

The dare

Change the brand the founder built, without losing what made people trust it. Let Arabic lead.

The challenge

The business is well known locally, but its identity has grown in layers over many years: several logo versions, an Arabic name set in whatever font was at hand, and a website that treats Arabic as a translation. A new generation now leads the company and wants to grow across the GCC. The family is cautious. Any change has to feel like continuity, not erasure.

The idea

Start from the Arabic name. Redraw it with care, then design the Latin wordmark to sit beside it as an equal, not the other way round. Keep one element of the founder's original mark and give it a clear role in the new system, so the change reads as the next chapter of the same story.

What we made

  • Brand audit of every existing touchpoint, from shopfront to invoices, to see what the family actually owns and what can go.
  • Interviews with family members, long-serving staff and customers to find the qualities worth keeping.
  • Several identity routes visualised early with AI-assisted mockups, then narrowed to one recommendation, argued in a single presentation.
  • Arabic and Latin wordmarks drawn as a pair, with a bilingual type system and clear rules for Arabic leading, alignment and spacing.
  • A new bilingual website with separate Arabic and English pages, written originally in each language, and built for search in both.
  • A phased rollout plan that replaces high-visibility items first and retires old assets in a planned order.

What changed

Illustrative outcome: the family recognises itself in the new identity, Arabic and English finally carry equal weight, and the business has one system it can take into new GCC markets. This is an example of how such a project unfolds, not a report of real results.
